Il Cortile:
A Family, a History, an Island.
Since 1997, when we pioneered hospitality in Custonaci, the doors of our Baglio have never closed.
Ours is not just a business, but the many-voiced story of the Oddo family, where each member is the guardian of a fragment of Sicily.
Entering Il Cortile means sitting at our table and becoming part of our history.
Andrea, 'U Mastru di Memoria: The owner is the historical soul of the group. An expert in traditions and a wild herb collector, Andrea knows every secret of the land. As a founding member of Grotta Mangiapane, he is the most authentic guide you could wish for: with him, history comes to life among the paths and rocks.
Maria, 'A Donna di l’Ira (The Lady of Art): With patience and love, Maria weaves threads and memories. Her handicrafts made from traditional Sicilian fabrics, displayed in our restaurant, are small works of art that embody the warmth of hands that still know how to create beauty.
Katia, 'A Rigina di l’Impasti: In the kitchen, Katia transforms water and flour into magic. Her hands tirelessly create busiate, cassatelle, and handmade pasta, guarding the secrets of a process that requires time, dedication, and a pinch of Trapani pride.
Alberto, 'U Mastru di Sciavata: He is the custodian of the oven. Alberto carries on the legend of the "Sciavata," the pizza born right here at the Cortile many years ago. A heartfelt recipe that smells of home and grandmother, where tuma cheese replaces mozzarella, just like it used to be made on family Sundays.
Angela, 'A Signura di li Sapur: If you smell the enveloping aroma of broths, soups, and sauces slowly simmering, it's thanks to Angela. She is the ambassador of ancient flavors, capable of bringing the essence of true Trapani culinary tradition to your plate.
We were the first to believe in the heart of Custonaci, and after almost thirty years, we're still here to welcome you with the same smile and passion as that first day in '97.
Our motto:
"Trasi comu ospiti, arrasti comu unu di nuàutri."
(Come in as a guest, stay as one of us.)
