Traditional, rediscovered and reinvented dishes
Our restaurant offers a selection of typical Sicilian dishes and a varied assortment of pizzas and “cabbuci” cooked in a wood-burning oven. You can taste our speciality indoors, in our main hall, or outdoors, in the middle of our outdoor courtyard.
Our dishes are substantial and well made, from assorted starters (such as salt tuna and fennel gratin) to the first courses made with local products (the ravioli stuffed with a typical Sicilian cheese and cooked in broth) and the second courses made with local meats (boiled sheep and calf ). Besides we have a rich assortment of cakes, from the typical Sicilian “cannoli” to the famous “cassatelle” stuffed with sweet cheese. Our specialties change relating to the seasons, in order to guarantee always fresh and quality products. The kitchen is exposed, allowing all the people the "vision" of food preparation.
Just to give some examples:
- Among the first courses there are: fresh pasta with vegetables, beans with wild fennel, trapanese pesto, cassatelle in mixed meat broth, (ravioli with typical cheese, closed by hand as tradition);
- Among the starters there are: hot cheese, various omelettes, vegetables, tripe;
- Between the second courses there are: fennel meatballs, boiled, roasted kid, "pasqualora” sausages stew;
- Traditional local desserts like “cannoli”, open mouth figs and “cassatelle”;
- Assortment of homemade digestive (like limoncello).
